Despite their plant-like appearance, corals are animals. They are considered the “architects of marine ecosystems” and support 25% of life in salt water. In a perfect environment they can be up to 1000 years old. They protect coastlines from flooding. Without them the effects of hurricanes and typhoons would be devastating.

The presence of corals on coasts is synonymous with biodiversity and environmental health. In recent years, extensive coral populations have disappeared around the world. Their disappearance is related to the warming of the oceans. With our jewellery inspired by this wonder of nature we also aim to raise awareness of the importance of protecting them.

The ring is made of sterling silver and plated in pure silver to enhance its shine.
