Many creatures of the underwater world exhibit a natural symmetry, and sea urchins are among them with amazing patterns. One of these natural beauties found its way into a creative process and became this striking necklace with a rusty finish.

Designed and handmade in Lanzarote

The sea urchin is one of the most important sea creatures in our collection. We are fascinated by its natural symmetry, which we reproduce in our pieces. This «Large Black Sea Urchin» Necklace, in its large format, is the mother of the many other versions available at famaraspirit. Due to its dimensions, it is the most striking and eye-catching of them all.

This jewel symbolises not only the beauty of the natural species found on our coasts, but also the need to preserve our ecosystems. Sea urchins are an indicator of heavy metal pollution in our waters. Let’s take care of them! Nothing in nature exists by itself.

This piece has been designed and is produced by hand in our workshop in Famara in an environmentally friendly process and with certified recycled materials of the highest quality. Our pieces are designed to last. They are made to stand the test of time, just like the millenary sea urchins.
